Hey, I’m Sebastian. I was born in Slovakia and moved to Ireland when I was 16, and I’ve been calling it my second home ever since.
Photography has been part of my life for a long time, but it wasn’t until my mid-20s that I really started taking it seriously. I’m completely self-taught, learning through books, tutorials, and plenty of trial and error along the way. Over time, photography naturally became more than just a hobby it became a big part of how I experience and connect with the world around me.
Nature photography is where my heart is. I love disappearing into the outdoors for a day or sometimes a few nights at a time camping, doing a bit of bushcraft, and slowing down long enough to fully experience nature with my camera.
For me, it’s never been only about taking photographs. It’s about being present, exploring wild places, and capturing the quiet moments and behaviours that often go unnoticed.
As my work has evolved, I’ve found myself becoming more and more drawn to video alongside photography. While photography will always remain at the centre of what I do, I’ve developed a real passion for documenting wildlife through film capturing not just how animals look, but how they behave, move, interact, and exist within their environment. There’s something special about telling a fuller story through both still and moving images.
Another side of my work that I’ve grown to love is trail camera trapping. Using remote cameras allows me to document wildlife in a completely natural way and reveal moments that would otherwise remain unseen. It combines patience, fieldcraft, and understanding animal movement and has become an exciting extension of how I explore and document the natural world.

My images
My editing process is all about maintaining the authenticity of my images. I believe in light editing to enhance the natural beauty captured in the moment. This includes minor adjustments to brightness, contrast, and colour balance to reflect the true scene as accurately as possible.
I steer clear of using artificial intelligence (AI) or heavy editing techniques that could alter the reality of the photograph. My goal is to present wildlife as it genuinely appears in nature, preserving the integrity and authenticity of each shot.
The same philosophy carries into how I photograph wildlife in the field. A large part of my approach involves hide photography creating opportunities to observe wildlife naturally while remaining as unobtrusive as possible.
Rather than relying solely on fixed setups, I often build my own hides depending on the location and conditions. Sometimes that means using pop-up hide tents, while other times I take a more creative and minimal approach by working with natural materials found on site or simple netting that allows me to blend into the environment effectively.
This method gives me the freedom to work closely with nature while allowing wildlife to behave naturally and undisturbed. Whether through traditional photography, video, or trail camera trapping, my aim remains the same: to create authentic images and stories that reflect the real experience of being out in the wild.
